Connecting Email Account & Email Logging

Learn how to connect your email account and automatically track sent and received emails in the Mail Timeline.

TradeIt allows exporters to connect their email account and communicate with buyers directly from the platform.

Once your email account is connected, you can send and receive emails through Mailbox, while all communication is automatically recorded inside the buyer profile.

This helps exporters keep a complete history of buyer interactions and manage outreach activities more efficiently.

Connecting Your Email Account

Before sending emails from TradeIt, you must connect your email account.

Steps to connect your email

1️⃣ Go to Mailbox

2️⃣ Enter your email address

3️⃣ Click Connect Email

4️⃣ Complete the authentication process

Once the connection is completed, your email account will appear in the connected account list.

You will then be able to send and receive emails directly from TradeIt.

Sending Emails from TradeIt

After connecting your email account, you can send emails directly from the Mailbox.

Steps to send an email

1️⃣ Open Mailbox

2️⃣ Click Compose

3️⃣ Select the recipients

Recipients can be selected from buyers stored in Sales Note.

4️⃣ Write your message

You can include:

  • subject
  • email content
  • attachments

5️⃣ Click Send

The email will be sent through your connected email account.

Email Logging

TradeIt automatically records email communications with buyers.

Whenever you send or receive an email, the message is automatically linked to the corresponding buyer.

This ensures that all communication history is preserved within the platform.

 

Viewing Email History (Mail Timeline)

All emails associated with a buyer can be viewed inside the buyer profile.

How to view the email history

1️⃣ Click the Mail Timeline tab from the buyer in Sales Note

2️⃣ Review the list of emails sent or received

The Mail Timeline shows:

  • email subject
  • sender and recipient
  • email content
  • timestamp of the message

This allows exporters to easily track the communication history with each buyer.

Example Use Case

An exporter sends a product proposal to a potential buyer.

The email will automatically appear in the buyer’s Mail Timeline, allowing the exporter to later review:

  • when the email was sent
  • what message was included
  • which buyer received the email

This helps exporters manage follow-ups and maintain consistent communication.

Export sales communication often spans multiple emails over a long period.

By automatically recording emails, TradeIt helps exporters:

  • track communication history with buyers
  • review past conversations before follow-ups
  • avoid losing important email records
  • manage buyer relationships more efficiently

Email logging ensures that all buyer communications remain organized inside the CRM.

Email Integration Limits by Plan

Email account integration depends on your subscription plan.
